We are pleased to announce Boyd Raines as the new Safety, Health & Wellbeing Coordinator for Region 1. Boyd has been an operational firefighter since 1984. He has been involved with writing policy and procedures in the Safety, Health & Wellbeing space.
Angus 464 Ladder Capability
Auckland’s Angus 464, 4 person ladder, capability is no longer. Our last “464” has been withdrawn from service at St Heliers station and may soon be enjoying retirement with the historical society.

Attention: All Officers
As a Region we are working very hard to reduce the number of unwanted alarms that we respond to.
The 2nd Quarter watch audits are due now. The Audit will be carried out at the Area Office Takapuna Fire Station. Part of the Audit will be looking at a combination of Basic Drills from Donning and Starting, Hose Drills and Pump Operation through to Incident Command Functions.
