Stephen Shephard
Wainuiomata Volunteer Fire Brigade would like to advise the passing of ex brigade member Stephen Shephard on 16 June 2023. Stephen was a brigade member from 1975 until 1981 then re-joined in 1993 until 2002 giving 14 years’ service in total.
Ross Harvey
Wellington District would like to advise the passing of ex Green Watch Senior Firefighter Ross Harvey on 29 June 2023. Ross was a long serving and greatly respected member of Porirua Fire Brigade. A private cremation was held for Ross over the weekend.

Te Awamutu and Pirongia Fire Brigades wish to advise of the passing of ex CFO Robbie Morris on 23 June 2023. Robbie served a total of 58 years with New Zealand Fire Service between Te Awamutu and Pirongia Brigades.
Helen May Murphy
SFF Helen May Murphy passed away on 2 June 2023. Helen served for 30 years with the Chatham Island Fire Brigade before retiring in 2021. She was a well respected member of the Chatham and Pitt island communities.

The Dunedin Fire Brigade wish to advise of the passing of ex Senior Station Officer John Bethune on 4 June 2023. John served 52 years’ with the Dunedin Fire Brigade as a career firefighter and volunteer with the Mosgiel Volunteer Fire Brigade.

A much respected Taranaki kaumātua Rev Albie Martin passed away on Wednesday after a battle with cancer. Albie was an ardent supporter of the New Plymouth Fire Brigade and our organisation as a whole.
Norman William Golding (Goldey)
This is to advise of the passing of Norman William Golding (Goldey) on May 20th 2023. Joining in 1947, Norman served the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board and New Zealand Fire Service for over 40 years, retiring as a Divisional Officer in 1988.
Graeme Watson
Otaki Volunteer Fire Brigade advises of the passing of retired DCFO and LHM Graeme Watson on 6 April 2023. Graeme joined the Otaki Brigade, after serving in Wainuiomata, in 1966. He served until 1995, the last 23 years as Deputy Chief Fire Officer. A private service has been held.
