Last week was a mammoth effort for the Rātana Volunteer Brigade who hosted scores of visitors at Rātana Celebrations on Sunday 25 January.

There was plenty going on around the pā - from the Rātana Brass Band, to religious reflection to health and career advice. Some of the most impressive mahi on display was during the food preparation with the Rātana Volunteer Brigade. Once again, the brigade demonstrated the deep care they have for their manuhiri (visitors), their hapori (community), and their faith. It was another solid effort from volunteer Senior Firefighter Corey Pardoe and the Rātana Volunteer Brigade whose focus now turns to getting Rātana Pā tidied up ... starting with a multi-day clean up!
