National and International Response Manager Ian Duncan and the project team are busy setting up the Working Safely in Water Project. This is the second stage of the development of our water training capability – the first being Working Safely around Water.

This is a new project, with a new subject matter expert (SME) group and National Advisor. Involvement as an SME is open to any Fire and Emergency personnel, from across New Zealand, with the appropriate skills and an interest in assisting in the development of our capability.

If you are interested, please look at the terms of reference and send through a completed expression of interest to – WorkingSafelyInWater@fireandemergency.nz.

Please also complete the conflict/declaration of interest at the same time and submit that together with the expression of interest.

Applications will be open until 13 September 2021.

The project team will be available to answer any questions about the process that you may have and will ensure all conflict/declaration of interest forms are processed accordingly.
