As we fast approach the end of the year, we wanted to provide a quick update on the volunteer end of year gift.

Unfortunately, despite our best efforts to dispatch the end of year gifts to brigades this month, we continue to feel the knock-on effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. High demand for imported goods combined with congestion at ports has seen a delay to the arrival of this year’s gift.

We expect our container will arrive into port in Auckland on 4 December. It will then need to clear customs and biosecurity and the speed in which this happens will depend on the volume of goods going through the port. As soon as they leave the port, they will be sorted for distribution out to the regions. As with last year, the gifts will be sorted and labelled per brigade to make it as easy as possible to deliver.

We will keep the regions updated and will get the gifts to you as soon as we can.

In the meantime, if you have any questions please get in touch with Rosie Chote.
