Hastings Brigade advise the passing of Tomoana Freezing Works Fire Brigade - ex Chief Fire Officer Sydney Taylor (Syd).

Syd served as the CFO at Tomoana Freezing Works Fire Brigade with 41years service.

He was a Life Honorary Member of that brigade as well as Past President of The Hawkes Bay Sub Assn. (President in 1983), Past Secretary and Life Honorary Member of that Sub Association.

Syd was also past President of the Wellington Provincial Fire Brigades Association (President in 1990) also Life Member of that Sub Association. Syd was awarded his Gold Star 1978.

Syd's funeral service is to be held on Tuesday 14th December 2021 at. 2-00pm at Beth Shan Chapel, Maraekakaho & Orchard Roads, Hastings.
