This Thursday at 9.30 am, we’re reminding you to drop, cover and hold for ShakeOut.

At Fire and Emergency, we play a significant role in responding to major incidents like earthquakes and tsunamis.

ShakeOut provides an opportunity to remind us just how important it is to be well prepared as individuals and teams at Fire and Emergency. Being prepared means we can best help our communities when disaster strikes.

Earlier this month, we shared some of the ways you can get involved in ShakeOut, including taking part in the earthquake drill on Thursday morning and preparing emergency plans as teams, individuals, or with your whānau.

Get ready and get involved here

And don’t forget to share your ShakeOut

Share your ShakeOut to encourage others to ‘get ready’ and check out how some of your colleagues got involved.

You can share them on social media with these resources(external link)

Or send them to communications@fireandemergency.nz and we’ll post them on the Portal.
