Wellington District wishes to advise with great sadness the passing of retired firefighter Ross David Bridgeman, aged 70 years old.

Ross dedicated over 20 years of service to then New Zealand Fire Service, joining Wainuiomata on 25 October 1973. He transferred to Wellington on 16 May 1974 and then to Lower Hutt on 4 May 1977, before resigning on 29 January 1994. His total service amounted to over 20 years.

Ross’s commitment and contribution to our communities will always be remembered. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and former colleagues during this difficult time.

Ross funeral will be at Gee and Hickton funeral home at 2pm Thursday 5 December 2024.
