Te Hiku advises of the passing of Rosilene (Rosie) Thomas on 24 March. Rosie served as Business Services Coordinator of Counties Manukau District, Te Hiku from 2019.

Update 29 March 

Rosie's church service will be held at St Pius Parish (101 Castledine Crescent, Glen Innes), on Monday 4th of April at 10.30am.

Due to COVID restrictions, the limit of people seated inside the church is 200. If numbers exceed this, people will be able to stand outside and listen to the service.  

 

If you are planning on attending, please wear Undress Service Uniform (light blues) with no medals, or Level 1 Station Uniform (dark blues) if on duty or unable to source Service Uniform. Alternatively if you feel more comfortable, you can wear civvies appropriate for a church service.
Face masks must be worn.

 

Three Counties Manukau appliances and career crews will be attending the service and for those who wish to participate, a guard of honour will be carried out by FENZ personnel as Rosie is transported from the church to the hearse.  

If you are on duty and wish to attend, please arrange with the on duty SSO.

 

Following the funeral service refreshments will be served.

 

Gifts and Donations

If you would like to send a gift or donation to the family, we have been advised that gifts can be sent to her sister’s home at 3 Rutland Road, Mount Wellington. If you are sending flowers, Rosie loved white flowers.

Donations can be made directly to the family, these donations will be used to assist with preparations for Rosie’s funeral. If you are making a donation from your FENZ social club account, please keep a record for audit purposes.
