Ronald Penney

Kaikohe Volunteer Fire Brigade advises of the passing of ex CFO Ron Penney. 

Ron first joined the Okaihau Fire Brigade, transferring to Kaikohe in the 1970s. Over that time, he was an active member of the competition teams in both brigades and also carried out various roles as an official during competitions with the Bay Group and the Northland Sub Association. He maintained contact with the wider Fire Brigade whānau through the Gold Star Association. Ron completed some 40 years of service for the Brigade.

Ron's funeral will be held on Wednesday 2 March at 1pm at Far North Funeral Services, 15 Wihongi Street, Kaikohe. Please wear full service uniform.

COVID-19 protocols

Under the COVID-19 Protection Framework, the funeral gathering is limited to 100 people inside the funeral home. Vaccine passes and masks are required. For any overflow, additional people are allowed to be outside, where external speakers will be set up.
