Rodney William Brooks (Rod)
Hutt Wairarapa Fire Area advises of the passing of Rodney William Brooks (Rod).
Rod joined the New Zealand Fire Service on 14 December 1978.
He was awarded the Gold Star on 2 October 2004 and the LHM Operational Support on 18 April 2009.
He retired from Hutt Wairarapa Operational Support on 13 December 2013 after 35 years' service.
His funeral will be held on Friday 9 July at 10am at the Salvation Army, corner of Kings Crescent and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt.
