Reminding NZ to stay safe on the campground this summer

As the days get warmer, the public are starting to pack up and head to campsites across the country. To make sure they are well-versed in fire safety, we’ve created a camping safety video starring former All Black Christian Cullen. 

The video gives simple, helpful tips on how the public should use fire safely when camping. It will be posted across our social media channels, on our website, checkitsalright.nz, and shared with our partners to post on their channels.

We are also promoting our wider summer wildfire prevention campaign(external link), which heroes native birds, across TV, radio, print publications, digital, social and outdoor advertising.

The campaign is proactively targeting holiday-goers as well as rural and semi-rural dwellers throughout the summer, who may be engaging in activities that may present fire risk.
