The Pacific Islands Languages Grant is available to all volunteers and employees (urban and rural, operational and non-operational) considering, or already undertaking study in any Pacific Islands language.

The grant is an initiative to help Fire and Emergency NZ work more effectively with Pacific populations and to benefit the personal development of applicants.

The grant, of up to $5,000 a year in total, is available to help with tuition fees, resources and operational cover (but not overtime) directly related to courses held during the current financial year (1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018). Successful applicants are required provide a brief report on how the grant has been of benefit to the individual and/or organisation on completion of their study.

If you are interested in applying , please complete the application form and email it to beth.piggott@fireandemergency.nz. Application forms must be returned to Beth by 7 December 2017.
