Remembering those who have passed away since the last rising of Matariki
Matariki and Puanga is a time of year when many remember those who have passed since the last rising of the stars and last Thursday at our fourth dawn hautapu karakia, we took time to say the names of those who have served our organisation, past and present.
It is the belief that by acknowledging them, they are able to join the stars and will be looked forever after by Matariki. These are some of the people we were able to acknowledge:
