Trading Standards have issued a product recall for System Sensor Bases B401 (external link) . All B401 bases marked with a date code within the range of 6043 to 7102 when installed with S300 detectors are affected.

These detectors are used in commercial premises and need to be installed by fire alarm companies. The Fire Protection Association has been working with their fire alarm company members to proactively recall and replace the alarm bases with a date code of 6043 to 7102.  As these detectors have been installed by fire alarm companies, most will have records of what detectors they have installed where, so they can go back to these locations and identify what detectors need replacing. The FPA believes most of the alarms have been replaced, working with alarm maintenance companies, body corporates, building owners and property managers.
