Peter (Phil) Hill

Huia Volunteer Fire Brigade advises the passing of Brigade Life Honorary and Operational Support Member Phil Hill.

Phil’s volunteer service began on the 11th April 1988.  Phil held the rank of Chief Fire Officer from 28th June 1998 until 14th July 2017 when he stepped down to the rank of Operational Support.  Phil was made a Brigade Life Honorary Member on 4th April 2013. 

The family have advised that Phil’s service will be held at the Avondale College Performing Arts Centre at 1pm on Thursday 28th April 2022. 

Current and former members attending the service are also invited to participate in the guard of honour.   Current Fire and Emergency New Zealand personnel are to wear full undress uniform, with caps and medals.
