Our Fire and Emergency brand exists in many forms, the most visible being our logo and crest, and each ensures our brand reflects our reputation and credibility.

Visual identity guidelines

Our visual identity guidelines are here to help you design and create work that aligns with our brand so that it is used in a consistent and professional manner and maintains its integrity. The guidelines include instructions on how to use our logo, our fonts, and our colour palette. This means it will be easier to recognise for everyone in New Zealand.

You can also contact the Communications team for advice, or approval to use the Fire and Emergency brand, e.g. display the logo on a vehicle, website or promotional material etc.

Writing style guide

We also aim to maintain a consistent style in all our written communications. This writing style guide will make it easier for you to write communications, and also for your audience to easily read and understand what it is you’re communicating. It’s also a great source of information for any new staff, covering a lot of the terminology we use internally.

Document templates

Document templates are at hand so you can guarantee you’re using the latest style, which is already formatted, and ensures we all follow a consistent look and feel. These templates include digital letterhead, reports, powerpoint presentations, and invitations.

Email signatures

Have you ever looked at the signature on an internal email and wondered how they did that, or if their signature style was the correct one? If you need support on how to set up your own signature, please send a blank email to email.signature@fireandemergency.nz. You’ll also find an example in the Visual Identity Guidelines, and you can download an image to incorporate into your email signature.

Let’s make sure we’re communicating clearly and present our identity consistently.
