The next generation Type 3 Appliances project is delighted to announce that an order has now been placed with our supplier Emergency One for 14 Type 3 appliances.

Te Ūpoko Region Manager and Type 3 Project Business Owner Bruce Stubbs said this was ‘great news’ and a significant milestone for the project.

‘We announced late last year after years of hard work on the part of many people involved in the project that our preferred tier one supplier of the Supply Panel was Emergency One Limited and that they would receive the majority of our Type 3 appliance orders for the next 10  years.

‘Last Thursday, we placed an order for 14 appliances which will be built over the next 18 months. This will be a huge boost to our fleet of Type 3 appliances, and we look forward to receiving them next year.’

The four trial appliances already in the country are to be redeployed once further modifications are completed. Emergency One appliances are going to Parnell and Grey Lynn Stations and the Angloco appliances are going to Manurewa and Hamilton Stations.
