Online education webinar: Early trauma care – keeping it simple

Please note that a decision was made to postpone the webinar set for this evening in light of the severe weather event that is impacting us across the country and the number of people deployed in different areas of the organisation. There will be more information about a new date coming. 

Fire and Emergency has a partnership agreement with My Health Hub to deliver health/medical response-related topics to our people once a month in a webinar.So far, we have had two webinars – the first one was on ‘Helping people in high stress situations’, and the second on ‘Resuscitation and high-performance CPR’. The webinars are relatively interactive and have had great feedback.  

The third webinar is set for Monday, 13 February between 7 and 8pm. The topic is ‘Early trauma – keeping it simple’ and will be presented by Mike Hunter, Consultant Surgeon, Trauma Medical Director, Dunedin Hospital. 

We encourage all operational personnel to register for the webinar.

They webinars are recorded and posted for viewing by anyone who wishes to watch them – usually about a week later. You will just need the password which is FENZCPD.
