Norman Dalziel

It is with a huge degree of sadness that the Eastbourne Volunteer Fire Brigade advises of the passing of ex “Fire Police” and Life Member Norman Dalziel. Norm served the community of Eastbourne from 10 April 1968 (the day the Wahine sank) until his retirement on 31 August 1987.  

Norm passed away at Bob Scott Retirement Village on Monday 24 November 2025. 

A funeral service is being held on Friday 28 November 2025 at 10am at Gee & Hickton Funeral Services, 1 Cornwall Street Lower Hutt.  

Full undress uniform and medals to be worn, no caps.
