What is it?

Fire and Emergency's Network and Infrastructure teams will be replacing parts of the network in the Wellington datacentre. As part of this change some services will be affected.

AMS and Mobility will still be available via the secondary service located in our alternate datacentre.

This work is required to enhance the organisation's cybersecurity posture, improving our overall defence against cyber-attacks and providing greater visibility across the wider network.

Services unavailable

  • Remote access
  • Citrix
  • SMS
  • AMS
  • Smart applications

Services degraded (will be working but in limited functionality)

  • Email
  • Telephone
  • Internet Access
  • Sharepoint

When is it happening?

Sunday 28 March 2021 from 9 AM to 10:30 PM.

How will this affect my work?

Although the outage has been scheduled on a Sunday to reduce the impact on personnel - all applications and IT services including, email, Sharepoint, Citrix and direct access will be impacted by this change.

AMS will experience periods of outage throughout the day. While this may not result in a complete outage for AMS, we ask that users treat it as such. It is critical you carry your pagers in case there are any issues.
