Manutuke Volunteer Fire Brigade advises of the passing of Mo Paratene, Retired Senior Station Officer/OIC and life member of the Manutuke Volunteer Fire Brigade.

Mo started his service on 1 July 1975 and served all 46 years with the Manutuke Fire Brigade, 24 of those as SSO/OIC of the brigade before officially retiring in 2021.

Mo's service will be at Evans Chapel, 17 Ormond Road, Gisborne at 13:00 hours  on Thursday 24 March 2022, followed by a private cremation. The service will be livestreamed at Evans Funeral Services(external link).

Evans Funeral Services will be working under the current indoor venue COVID-19 Protection Framework (unless changes are made by government on Wednesday) and request that you please do not attend if you are feeling unwell. Face masks and vaccine passes will be required with 100 people capacity limits.

The Manutuke crew will form a guard of honour at Evans Chapel, which past and present Fire and Emergency personnel are welcome to join. 

Please wear: Undress uniform (Light Blues) with medals. Face masks. No caps.
