The Board fully supports Rhys and the Strategic Leadership Team’s commitment to addressing the issues raised in the Positive Workplace Culture report released today (see Rhys’ CE Blog).

I would like to recognise the bravery of those who helped us by sharing their experiences with retired Judge Coral Shaw.  I understand that this would have been difficult for you, but I am heartened by the trust and belief you had in the process.

I would also like to recognise the unions and associations for backing the commissioning of this report, and for their commitment to helping Fire and Emergency lead this change.

We all have a role to play in working together to make a permanent and positive change. ‘He waka eke noa – everyone in one canoe with no exception’.
