The Board of Fire and Emergency New Zealand is delighted to confirm that Rhys Jones will continue to be Fire and Emergency’s Chief Executive for another two years.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank and acknowledge Rhys for his contribution and leadership as we have worked to unify our organisation. During this time, he has also lead our organisation through a number of significant incidents including the Tasman fires, the New Zealand International Convention Centre fire, and most recently, our response to COVID-19.

On behalf of the Board, we look forward to continuing to work with Rhys and benefiting from his leadership over the next two years.
