Please join me in welcoming Gwen Tepania-Palmer to the Board of Fire and Emergency New Zealand.

With a background in nursing, Gwen has been a driving force in the development and expansion of Māori health initiatives for decades, and currently sits on several health sector boards.

Gwen holds a Master of Business Administration, Certificate in Health Economics and a Certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors in New Zealand (inc). Her tribal affiliations are Te Aupouri, Ngati Kahu and Ngati Paoa Tainui.

Gwen’s wealth of experience will be a huge asset to the Fire and Emergency New Zealand Board. We look forward to working with her.

Gwen joins Deputy Chair Rebecca Keoghan who was appointed in June, Wendie Harvey and Malcolm Inglis who were appointed to the Board last year and Te Arohanui Cook who was reappointed last year for a three-year term.
