A big thank you to everyone who entered our Mental Health Awareness Week photo competition and who organised, or participated in, one of the many activities that took place across the country.

Some of the photos entered in the photo competition are showcased below. This is still open, so a reminder to post your photos to social media using the hashtag #FENZMHAW or email through to Jayne.McCullum@fireandemergency.nz All photos will be judged by members of the Safety, Health and Wellbeing team and the winners announced on Monday.

Well done to all of those who participated in ‘Mullets for Mental Health’ which was organised by our Invercargill Fire Brigade. As at today, over $4000.00 has been raised for the Mental Health Foundation. It is not too late to join as the fundraising continues for a while yet so check out their Facebook(external link) page.

Good luck to all those competing in the The Hawkes Bay Hundy Race tomorrow in Hawkes Bay. You can check out their Facebook(external link) page to see how the event unfolds.

Thank you also to everyone all around the country in the regions and at National Headquarters who attended the activities and events that took place during the week. It is great to see mental health and wellbeing being actively discussed.

We hope you all enjoyed taking some time out to spend with others and to raise awareness of how important it is to look after our mental health and each other, and that you continue to do so beyond this week.
