Larry (Tolly) Tolliday

Waitematā District wishes to advise of the passing of retired firefighter Larry (Tolly) Tolliday on Sunday 15 December.

Tolly completed 49 years of service with Fire and Emergency  New Zealand. He spent all his career in Auckland, starting on 13 March 1972 at Mt Wellington. He served at Mt Albert, Balmoral, Parnell, Pt Chevalier, Avondale and Glen Eden.

He retired on 30 August 2021 after having mentored the numerous recruits who came through his final station of Titirangi Yellow Watch.

Tolly’s funeral service will be held on Thursday 19 December 2024 at 10:00 hours at Morrison’s Funerals Chapel, Universal Drive, Henderson

As per family request, uniform is optional.
