The Ōmārama Volunteer Fire Brigade advises of the passing of ex-CFO and life honorary member John Rogers.

John joined the brigade in 1967, becoming Deputy Chief Fire Officer in 1979 and then Chief Fire Officer from 1989 until he retired in 1997 after 30 years service.

A funeral for John will be held at the Ōmārama community hall, 35 Chain Hills Highway, Ōmārama, on Saturday 14 June at 1pm. Please wear full undress uniform, medals, and caps for the guard of honour.
