Pongaroa Volunteer Fire Brigade advise of the peaceful passing of Chief Fire Officer John Hills on Monday 3rd April 2023.
The Hawkes Bay District acknowledges his commitment to the brigade and community over the many years he served as a volunteer firefighter.
A private cremation for John was held on Monday afternoon.
