John Cowpland (Pom) - Updated funeral details

Wellsford Volunteer Fire Brigade advises of the passing of past Chief Fire Officer John Cowpland (Pom).  

John joined Wellsford Fire Brigade on 27 January 1980, transferring from Rawene Brigade where he began his service.

In 2001 he was awarded his Gold star for 25 years service in the fire brigade. 

He became Chief Fire Officer in 2013, a position he held until his retirement in 2019. This brought to an end a career in the Fire Service spanning 43 years.
