This year’s theme is Community is...what we create together.

The past few years have been challenging for Aotearoa and for our organisation. Mental Health Awareness week is a reminder to actively prioritise and nurture our mental health year-round.

At Fire and Emergency, community is at the forefront of what we do. It’s the people that you support in your capacity as first responders, but it’s also the people that you do the mahi alongside and, for our volunteers, the employers that support you.

Keep an eye out on our social media accounts where we will be highlighting some of the ways in which our people are prioritising their mental health and the wellbeing of those around them.

While mental health awareness week is a chance to focus our thoughts on mental wellbeing, our support networks and services are available 24/7 and all year round. It’s always ok to ask for help.
