Our people can now view their Honours and Awards record in Home Base.

Our online HR tool, Home Base(external link), centrally records and administers a variety of people-related information and tasks including pay, leave, contact details, jobs, reporting lines and now Honours and Awards.

Home Base Honours and Awards Record

Fire and Emergency personnel are acknowledged for service and commitment shown to the organisation and communities throughout New Zealand through a variety of Honours and Awards including:

  • Royal Honours (e.g. the Queen’s Service Medal)
  • The New Zealand Fire Brigades Long Service and Good Conduct Medal
  • Fire and Emergency Board 50 Year Service Gift (plaque)
  • Fire and Emergency Region Management 50 Year Service Gift
  • Fire and Emergency Board 25 Year Service Gift

All personnel: where you have been awarded any of the above Honours and Awards, you will be able to view the details in Home Base. This will also include historic New Zealand Fire Service equivalent awards where these have been made to you.

Managers: you can use Home Base to view your direct reports’ Honours and Awards record.

You can access Home Base from the home page of the Portal. Go to https://homebase.fireandemergency.nz/(external link) > select ‘My Details’ > select ‘Honours and Awards
