Fire and Emergency has released its National Research and Evaluation Strategy 2022-2032.

This sets out how the organisation will prioritise investment in research and evaluation over the next 10 years to support evidence-based decision making.

It provides guidance to any personnel, team, directorate or branch in Fire and Emergency that wishes to undertake research and evaluation.

The Strategy ensures Fire and Emergency’s research and evaluation is aligned to the organisational priorities. It also ensures the research and evaluation is useful, useable and used.

The organisation’s research and evaluation should be linked to decision making, and this Strategy makes sure this is the case.

The Executive Leadership Team will expect to see any research proposals are aligned with this Strategy.
