Graeme Day (Daisy)

Hawke’s Bay district wishes to advise with a heavy heart the passing of retired firefighter Graeme “Daisy” Day on Monday 2 December.

Daisy completed over 52 years of service with Fire and Emergency New Zealand.

Joining Titahi Bay on 2 April 1969 before transferring to Porirua on 3 November 1975.

On 18 April 1998 Daisy transferred to Hawke’s Bay where he served the rest of his time at Hastings Station, retiring on 30 June 2020.

Daisy’s service will be held at the Hastings Fire Station on Friday 6 December at 1pm.
