Geoffrey Mayall (QSM)

It is with a huge degree of sadness that Kaikohe Volunteer Fire Brigade advises of the passing of ex SSO Non-Operational Support Geoffrey Mayall (QSM).

Geoff passed away suddenly at his home in Kaikohe on Friday evening. After joining the KVFB in 1972, Geoff attained the rank of SSO before stepping into a Non-Operational Support role in 2003. He completed some 51 years of service and was awarded a QSM before retiring from the brigade two years ago. During that time, he was an active supporter of the Northland Fire Brigades Sub-Association and very involved in waterway competitions, both as a competitor and as an official. 

Geoffrey's funeral service will be held at:

Location: Squires Funeral Services, 14 Wihongi Street, Kaikohe

Date: Saturday 1 November

Time: 1100hrs

Dress code: Uniform and medals to be worn 

Attendees: Assemble at the Kaikohe Fire Station at 1000hrs
