The New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) recently launched their new drug driving campaign which is a confronting look at how driving under the influence of drugs can end in tragedy.

The events depicted in the campaign are an all-too-familiar reality for our people, who are often first on the scene to transport accidents. Nearly a third of all fatal crashes on our roads occur when a driver has drugs present in their blood.

This campaign seeks to raise awareness that drug driving is causing harm and to discourage New Zealanders from driving after taking drugs.

We’re proud to have worked alongside NZTA and NZ Police on this campaign. Any reduction in the number of serious crashes on our roads as a result of this campaign saves lives.

Thank you to our firefighters who were involved in the production - Mike Brooke, Steve Ko, Owen Pati, Abdula Hikmet, and Shan Phares.
