In accordance with its Rules and Constitution the Fire and Emergency New Zealand Sports Council calls for nominations for the 2019/20 Sportsperson of the year and the Special Achievement Award 2019/20.

Nominations are now open for the following Fire and Emergency sports awards:

  • Fire and Emergency New Zealand Sports Council Sportsperson of the Year

  • Fire and Emergency New Zealand Sports Council Special Achievement Award

Purpose of awards

We have established these awards to formally recognise to Fire and Emergency teams and individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence and contribution to the sporting community as a participants, administrators or coaches.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand Sports Council Sportsperson of the Year

  • We are calling for nominations for 2019/20 Sportsperson of the Year.
  • The award will be presented by the Fire and Emergency New Zealand Board at NHQ.
  • The Sports Council will pay the travel and accommodation costs of the recipient and their partner so they can attend the award ceremony.

 Fire and Emergency New Zealand Sports Council Special Achievement Award

  • We are also calling for nominations are called for the 2019/20 Special Achievement Award
  • The award recognises special achievements awarded to or gained by members of Fire and Emergency New Zealand

Eligibility

All Fire and Emergency personnel can apply for both awards.

To apply, complete all sections on the form and submit it to Abi.Lawrence@fireandemergency.nz by 5pm, Monday 19 October.
