Today five of our people were presented with Queen’s Birthday Royal NZ Honours by the Governor-General at an investiture ceremony in Wellington. These honours recognise their inspiring contributions to local communities and Fire and Emergency over many years.

As is traditional, we further acknowledged the incredible work of these recipients and thanked family members for their support at a luncheon following today’s ceremony. Three of our people who received New Year’s honours earlier in the year also attended, given we couldn’t celebrate with them earlier in the year due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The selfless work taken on over many years by all our Honours recipients for our organisation, and many others, has truly helped to make our communities stronger, safer and more resilient.
