Feederlines: Neutralisation versus dilution at Hazsubs incidents

We have added a new case study to our Feederlines series which features specific incidents or themes aimed at helping with continuous improvement in our operational response.

The new case study is 'Neutralisation versus dilution in Hazsubs incidents' which covers responding to incidents involving hazardous substances (HazSubs) and understanding the tactical options for ensuring safe outcomes. If it is an acid spill, two primary strategies are dilution and neutralisation.

The Feederlines series is developed by Operational Assurance team member Des Hosie, our National Operations Advisor and Safety, Continuous Improvement and Lessons Management Lead. It invites operational personnel to think about how they would deal with a similar situation using their own training, knowledge and experience, and resources at hand.
