As we head into the end of the year and the close-down period, the Payroll team want to provide a brief update on the payroll processing over the holidays.

All documentation for processing by payroll for December and January must be with the payroll team no later than 5pm on 21 December 2020.  This will ensure the fortnightly pay is processed efficiently, especially as the pay periods are compressed due to the public holidays. Casual employees (people who are paid my timesheet) should take particular note of the close-off deadline.

Managers are requested to notify payroll of any leavers and new employees as soon as possible to ensure that payments are processed without disruption.

Requests for payroll processing that don’t meet the close-off deadline will need to be held over for the pay run on 27 January 2021.

The SMS download for the pay run due to be paid on 30 December 2020 will be processed two days earlier than usual on 23 December 2020. This will mean that any additional hours, overtime or allowances claimed from 23-30 December will not be paid until the following pay run on 13 January 2021. Please be aware that the early SMS download will not affect when employees are paid, payments will still be processed as usual on 29 December 2020.

This year NHQ will be closed from 5pm on 24 December 2020 and will reopen on 11 January 2021.
