This week is Vaiaso o le Gagana Samoa - Samoa Language Week.

The theme for this year is ‘Mitamita i lau gagana, maua’a lou fa’asinomaga’ - ‘Be proud of your language and grounded in your identity’.

At Fire and Emergency, being able to support communities whose first language is not English is key to keeping you and your aiga (family) safe. Check out our fire safety resources which we have created in a range of languages, including Samoan.

Did you know that Fire and Emergency has a Pasefika network? Afi Pasefika offers a space for Pacific personnel to come together, learn, share, and grow, with a particular focus on career advancement. Our Samoan personnel are a valuable part of this network and of our Fire and Emergency aiga (family).
