Bernard Faull

The Paraparaumu Fire Brigade sadly advise of the passing of retired member Bernard Faull. Bernard passed away on Sunday 22 September 2024 in Wellington Hospital.

Bernard's service started with the Toko Volunteer Fire Brigade in 1978, moving through the Putaruru Volunteer Fire Brigade and Waitara Volunteer Fire Brigade. His service finished with Paraparaumu Volunteer Fire Brigade in 2005. He served a total of 23 years with the New Zealand Fire Service.

A private funeral will be held at the family church in Waitara on Tuesday 1 October.

Bernard was well known in all the communities that he served. He was heavily involved in the Anglican Church, both in Taranaki and Wellington, including a time as the Vicar of Kapiti. His quick humour and comforting presence will be sorely missed.
