I am pleased to share news of the appointment of Mary-Anne Macleod and Danny Tuato’o to the Fire and Emergency New Zealand Board.

On behalf of the Board, I welcome Mary-Anne and Danny and congratulate them on their appointment. They each bring a wealth of experience to the role and a diverse range of skills and expertise that will be invaluable as we work towards realising the vision of our unified organisation.

Professional director, Mary-Anne Macleod, is also strategic advisor to central and local government agencies and holds appointments on several government and private boards. She has extensive experience in governance as well as in local and central government. Mary-Anne lives in Tauranga and has a background in earth sciences.

Danny Tuato’o is currently a Partner at Marsden Woods Inskip Smith, providing specialist property and commercial law advice in the Northland region. He has significant experience working with Māori entities and holds appointments on both government and private boards.

Mary-Anne Macleod and Danny Tuato’o have been appointed for a term of three years.
