Applying for annual leave in SMS

The Holidays Act and Pay Remediation Project will be introducing a new method for applying for annual leave in SMS called Deferred Annual Leave. These changes are on schedule and we anticipate this to be available in SMS in August 2020. A training package will be available from 20 July to explain how this new function can help with the correct allocation of annual leave. The NZFPU and Fire and Emergency have issued a joint notice on Deferred Annual Leave [PDF, 133 KB].

We are still campaigning to find former employees to register them in the event they may be entitled to a remediation payment. Please pass this on to any friends or former workmates who have not already registered and worked in NZFS or Fire and Emergency New Zealand between 1 January 2010 and 1 July 2020 and ask them to contact the Holidays Act and Pay Remediation Project HolidaysActProject@fireandemergency.nz
