Each year Fire and Emergency NZ provides a free, confidential health check for all personnel as part of our ‘Hauora’ health monitoring programme.

The assessment covers cardiovascular screening, audiometry, spirometry (lung capacity), vision, mental health questions, immunisation review, inter-current disease review and health and wellness promotion.

A health check is recommended to assist with early detection and to enable chronic health conditions to be monitored.

The NHQ checks will be done again this year by Occupational Health Nurse, Megan Powell.

Please book at reception for an appointment on one of the following dates: October 18, 20, 25, 27, November 1, 3, 8, 10. Checks will take approximately 45 minutes.

More detailed information about the Hauora programme is available on the Portal here.
