Ambulance crews and industrial action

First Union represents a significant number of ambulance workers and they have chosen to exercise their right to industrial action. Their action/s may impact Fire and Emergency personnel at medical incidents in particular but also other incidents like motor vehicle crashes. Please be aware this action commences Wednesday 4 November 2020 and involves:

• Non-completion of the electronic patient report forms.
• Withholding aspects of the paper patient report forms.
• Non-compliance with the St John uniform policy. 

Other unions, paid personnel on individual agreements and volunteers are not participating in this action. Importantly, the process for patient report forms (hand overs) may vary between crews, and ambulance crews may not be in full uniform but should be able to produce ID if requested.
