Yesterday the Government announced that from 11.59pm on Wednesday 18 November, wearing face coverings on all public transport in Auckland will be mandatory. This includes all public transport services that originate, end or pass through the Auckland region.

If you are in Auckland and you use public transport, please ensure that you are wearing a face covering throughout your journey. While it is not compulsory for passengers to wear a face covering while travelling on Auckland Uber and taxis, Government is strongly encouraging face covering use.

Use of face coverings will also be mandatory on all domestic flights across New Zealand from 11.59pm on Wednesday 18 November.

Regardless of where you are in New Zealand, if you are sick, stay home. Call your GP or Healthline if you have cold or flu-like symptoms and please get tested if asked. Please make sure you record the places you visit using the COVID Tracer App or an alternative method.

Keep checking the COVID-19 Portal page for the latest updates. It is publicly available, and you don’t need to be logged in. If you have any questions, please talk to your manager.
