From Friday 10 July 2020, the Habit at Work tool will no longer be available as ACC has made the difficult decision to retire it.

ACC has stated that as Habit at Work no longer provides information that reflects current ergonomic practices, they could ensure the tool could deliver up to date and accurate information. ACC developed the Habit at Work tool several years ago, and admit the technology is now outdated, as it no longer provides a good user experience.

You can still provide feedback about the tool to ACC via email: habitatwork@acc.co.nz

The Safety, Health and Wellbeing team are working to remove Habit at Work from the Portal and reviewing alternative options for ergonomic tools and resources. If you are seeking advice on current ergonomic practices, please contact a member of SHW team. If you experience any pain or discomfort that is related to work, record details of the symptoms in the Safe@Work(external link) system.

ACC has not provided any information on what will replace Habit at Work, but the dedicated website is still open, and they’ve stated that they will provide further updates when available.
