A message from our Chief Executive

Kia ora koutou, 
 
As we move towards the end of 2024, I've been reflecting on the year that has been – the many achievements we've made and the challenges we've faced together. I'm incredibly proud of the dedication and hard work of our people, and the service our organisation continues to deliver.  
 
However, as Chief Executive, I cannot rest knowing that some of our people, genuinely, do not feel safe in this incredible organisation, and they are still being subjected to unacceptable behaviours such as bullying, harassment, sexism, and racism. 
 
Last week, we took a significant step forward with the launch of our Managing Inappropriate Behaviour and Conduct Policy [PDF, 290 KB], but I want to be clear: policies alone will not bring about real change. We need all of you to help us build a truly inclusive and safe environment for everyone.

To that end, I'm sharing the message below.
