Waiheke Volunteer Fire Brigade advises of the passing of George Scott on Sunday 24 November 2024, aged 86. George started his firefighting career on 4 October 1970 and retired on 13 December 2004.
Kevin Reid

William (Bub) Edwards
Tairāwhiti District wish to advise of the passing of Manutūkē Volunteer Fire Brigade life member, William (Bub) Edwards. Bub retired from the Manutūkē Volunteer Fire Brigade after 50 years of service to NZ Fire Service, Fire and Emergency New Zealand, the brigade and his community.
Mike Glentworth
Putaruru Volunteer Brigade advise the passing of ex member Mike Glentworth. Mike served with the brigade for 17 years from 1981 to 1998. A service will be held at the Putaruru Volunteer Fire Station on Thursday 14 November at 11am .
Michael (Mick) Sullivan
Northland District advises of the passing of Michael (Mick) Sullivan on 23 October 2024. Mick started with the Wellington Fire Brigade in 1974 and also served in the Hutt Valley as an SO. He rose to SSO before becoming a Manager for Whangarei Kaipara Area in 1988.
David Mitchell
The Otago District wish to advise the passing of ex-member Station Officer David (Ian) Mitchell. A private family service will be held for David.
Gail Williams
It is with heavy heart that the Springfield Volunteer Fire Brigade advise the passing of Gail Williams ex Firefighter/ brigade secretary/ treasurer and brigade support. Gail joined the brigade on the 30 April 1989.
Barry Hazelton
Te Kuiti Volunteer Fire Brigade advise the passing of ex member Firefighter Barry Hazelton. Barry passed on 30 October and a gathering was held last week to remember him.
Kenneth Monk
Hawke's Bay District advise of the passing of Kenneth (Ken) Monk on 10 July 2024. Ken volunteered at Napier Fire Station from 1988 until 2016.
A private cremation was held at Ken's request.
